Gritty Pretty - A Glimpse BTS
Lucky for the balmy Byron day we all woke up too around 4.30am. From memory it was already reaching 30 degrees by about 7am! The location, the crew, the styling & of course the hair was all on point for the Gritty Pretty cover shoot, which made for an easy day to slide right into.
It's hard to imagine just how many creative heads & hands it takes to conquer a shoot like this. But when you're on set with a team like Gritty Pretty - you are surrounded by the best in the business.
I've popped a whole series of BTS images below for you all to have a sneak peak of what a shoot looks like in between shots. Tori was with me to capture it all from different angles which was a dream because I personally always love seeing how things work/how things are made ... & I am sure some of you will share in my curiosities.
In summary, there is almost zero down time when you're on an editorial set. Everyone is on their feet contributing ideas, suggestions, skills!! Have a look at Eleanor below (and keep in mind she had a bubba in her belly!)! Never think that an editor sits at the desk and approves the shots only ... no way! Eleanor was hands on from the crack of dawn. From preparing the crew a delish breaky, to setting up shots, checking the lighting & making sure every single person was comfortable & happy all day - she really was incredible. Same goes for the rest of the team. Everyone chips in & the result shows.
I really do appreciate hard working people. They inspire me & teach me time & time again, that there is always something more we can be doing. Life is a team sport. Everyone's opinions are of huge value - and taking each voice into consideration makes for a pretty amazing outcome.
Have fun scrolling through the below. You'll get a glimpse of my attitude on set ... never TOO serious!!! And you'll see that snake I mentioned in my earlier blog!
If you love what you do for a living & make the effort to ensure those who are working alongside you are also having a great time - life will feel sweet & you'll never dread another day in the office. I can 100% assure you!
